***************************************************************** The Elder Scrolls III MORROWIND: New Imperial Helms v1.0 by grVulture ***************************************************************** Index: 1. Installation 2. Playing the Plugin 3. Save Games 4. Known Issues 5. Other Info ***************************************************************** 1. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN ***************************************************************** To install the plugin, unzip the New_Imperial_Helms.7z file into the Morrowind directory. Included is an Alternative Brown Imperial Skirt for the Imperial guards, to match their new helmets. It's not big deal -I don't even like it that much myself- but if you want to check it out, be sure to backup the TX_C_G_IMPERIAL_SKIRT.DDS file in your Morrowind\Data Files\Textures\ directory. Then you can copy the one included in this mod, and paste it in the forementioned directory Morrowind\Data Files\Textures\ ***************************************************************** 2. PLAYING THE PLUGIN ***************************************************************** From the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box next to the New_Imperial_Helms.esp file. I took the fabulous Roman Helm mesh by Khan raider, made some textures for it, and here it is! So, not to hesitate, I have put new helms, on the guard captains, on the Ebonheart guards, on the Duke Guards, and on the Knight Templars. The new guard helms can be bought in Fort Pelagiad and in Moonmoth. There are also some laying around for cunning thieves to get... The Duke and Templar helms, are hard to get, not sold by anyone in the province, since they are to be worn by only the Duke's Garrison and by the Knights. Well, some smugglers in Hla Oad might have another opinion about this. ***************************************************************** 3. Save Games ***************************************************************** This plugin will not invalidate your old saved games. If you save your game while this plugin is loaded, you may encounter error messages when you reload the saved game without the plugin. Ignore them as there will be no problems whatsoever with your game. NOTE: There is a known issue, of guards refusing to re-equip their old helmets again, if you uninstall this mod. If this happens to you follow the following procedure: 1. Start Morrowind with New_Imperial_Helms_Uninstall loaded last in your load-list. 2. Load your save game 3. Ignore error messages (Press "Yes to All") 4. Let the plugin do the dirty work 5. When finished, you will find yourself in Balmora, in front of the SiltStrider Port. This should be a convenient point to get you anywhere you've been before. You can continue playing normally. Save your game before exit (I'm sure you do) 6. When you reload your game, be sure to uncheck New_Imperial_Helms_Uninstall 7. Ignore error messages on game load 8. When game loads, resave your game 9. Enjoy a world of Morrowind without my ugly textured helms!!! ***************************************************************** 4.
